Welcome to BBC Radio 3 Choir of the Year 2008!

The final Area Selection Stage for BBC Radio 3 Choir of the Year 2008 was held on 18 May at St David's Hall, Cardiff, with sixteen choirs competing. The results for this weekend and all the Area Selection Stages: Area Selection results.

The National Selection Stage took place on 18 June 2008. All of the choirs who got through each Area Selection Stage were judged against one another for a place at the Category Finals. The National Selection Stage was a recording round so choirs did not attend an event. Please click here for the results of the National Selection Stage.

The Category Finals will take place at the Philharmonic Hall, Liverpool, 8 and 9 November 2008 as part of Liverpool European Capital of Culture '08 celebrations.

The Grand Final will take place at the newly refurbished Royal Festival Hall, on London's South Bank, on 7 December 2008 and broadcast on BBC 4 and Radio 3.
