sing to win Choir of the Year 2010

Between February and June we travelled the length and breadth of the country and listened to more than 150 choirs performing an enormous range of music from madrigals to Michael Jackson… and everything else you could think of besides.

Our judges had the very difficult task of selecting just sixteen choirs to compete at the Category Finals at Birmingham Symphony Hall on Saturday 6th November 2010. We are pleased to announce that the finalists are:

Children's Category
Inverclyde Schools' Junior Choir
New Forest Children's Choir
Warwickshire County Boys' Choir
Westminster Boys' Choir

Youth Category
Farnham Youth Choir
Lincoln Minster School Chamber Choir
St Martin-in-the-Fields High School for Girls Choir
The Holles Singers

Adult Category
Reading Phoenix
UCLan Chamber Choir
Wellensian Consort

Open Category
Sing It
Take Twenty
The Rainbow Connection Singers
Ysgol Glanaethwy Senior Choir

One winner in each category plus two ‘wildcards’, the best of the rest, will compete for the title Choir of the Year 2010 at the Royal Festival Hall on Sunday 28th November.
