The competition
explained
 From January to April 2012 choirs will compete in their allocated Audition venue having entered one of four categories - Children, Youth, Adult and Open. Specially chosen judges provide professional advice and tell choirs their reasons for selecting ‘Choirs of the Day’ at the end of each session. These choirs will go through to the next round, National Selection.
There isn’t a fixed number of Choirs of the Day in each category - the judges can choose any choir which makes the grade. This is because one day might have a much higher overall standard than another and we want to make sure that all the choirs which perform exceptionally well can be considered by the National Selection panel.

* We hope to include audition days in Wales and Scotland if funding can be secured. Choirs from these nations should read the application form for further information on taking part. {link to form}.
